Lies are the greatest, when we lie to ourselves. His first lie was that he could change for someone he loves, but instead he continued to change the world around with his lies, so that it could become the truth.

Era of Evolution story
 
Finding your way in the desert might be easier when you are a nimble cat. Cats can get away with stolen food, quick legs take them away from giants, and sharp mind is essential for their survival. That's why cats have always been on Amune and will always be.
 
Daretail learnt from his master much more than an average cat deserves. A young boy seemed to be generous with treats, but the farther Daretail followed him, the more he realised that the world wasn't just about food, cold, and the endless desert. Vi spoke to him not as to an animal, but as to a brother, and Daretail wanted to learn to speak back.
 
But no matter how much time a cat spends with the two-legged, even if with someone important, it will always remain a cat. Daretail wanted freedom, whereas Vi bound himself by the duty Daretail could never understand. He didn't understand how it was possible to be devoted to someone greedy, cruel, cunning, and what it meant to be the king. 
 
So Daretail left the cold deserts of Amune, but promised to return one day and bring this freedom to the one who became his brother, even if it meant to sacrifice everything Vi valued so much.
