Unlike other gods, the Whisperer never changes the Dream directly - his tools are secret wishes of others, which he uses to make stories happen in his favourite theatre of the Order.

Peace leads to stagnation, and finale of the show is less important than culmination. What truly matters is the never-ending journey, game of emotions, delicious turning points in nations history. Marc knows exactly what other people want, from the auditorium he showers them with applause to trick them into returning for an encore.
However, no matter how skillful he might seem at dealing with wishes, the one of his own remains a mystery even to him. The Order is nothing but a theatre, every trial we face is just a game, there is no greater meaning encrypted in the divine plan. By making the world's crisis less meaningful, Marc refuses to let himself get attached and is trying to forget his hidden wish to be part of the show.
But no matter how candid he may seem, every story, show and hero he meets leaves a trace in his heart.
